What is Hyrox?
HYROX is a unique fitness competition that combines functional fitness exercises with running. Participants complete a series of workouts, such as rowing, sled pushes, burpees, and more, followed by a running segment. The goal is to push your limits and test your strength, endurance, and mental toughness. We offer exciting Hyrox classes, monthly Full Hyrox simulations, targeted workshops, and much more!
Full Hyrox Simulation
Join us for our monthly Full Hyrox Simulation event, where you can experience the original Full Hyrox race! This thrilling challenge includes 8 km of running and all the stations, giving you the perfect opportunity to test your skills. Sign up solo or team up with a partner for an exhilarating race day experience.

Get ready for your competition in the best way possible. In our training sessions, you will learn everything you need for success:

What is HYROX?
HYROX is a fitness race that combines running with functional strength and endurance exercises. The race includes several running sections and workout stations such as SkiErg, Sled Push, Sled Pull, Burpee Broad Jumps, Rowing, Farmers Carry, Sandbag Lunges, and Wall Balls.
Who is HYROX suitable for?
HYROX is suitable for many fitness levels, as you can work specifically on endurance, strength, technique, and race strategy. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced athlete, the training can be adapted to your level.
Do I need to sign up for a HYROX race to train HYROX?
No. HYROX training is also a great way to become fitter, stronger, and improve your endurance. You do not need to have a race planned to join our classes.
What do you train in HYROX?
HYROX combines endurance, strength endurance, functional movements, and mental toughness. In training, you work on running performance, strength, technique, pacing, and your ability to perform under fatigue.

HYROX at BLG Sports Club Zurich
Do you complete a full HYROX race in class?
No. In our classes, we either focus on parts of HYROX, work on individual elements, or create a workout that specifically trains the endurance and strength needed for HYROX.
Do you offer HYROX simulations?
Yes. BLG Sports Club is running a HYROX simulation in Zurich once a month. You can book it as usual through our class schedule.
Do you offer classes for beginners?
Yes. BLG Sports offers a monthly HYROX technique course where we go through all the competition exercises in detail and work on proper technique. Our regular classes are also suitable for all levels, as they can be adapted individually.
Do you offer advanced classes?
Yes. Every Saturday, we offer a 90-minute Advanced Class designed for athletes who already have HYROX experience.
Can I join if I have never done HYROX before?
Yes, absolutely. Our classes are structured so that exercises and intensity can be adapted to your level. For beginners, we especially recommend joining our monthly HYROX technique course.
Do I need any previous experience?
No. You do not need any HYROX experience to get started. The most important thing is that you are open to working on your technique, strength, and endurance.
How often should I train HYROX?
This depends on your goal and current fitness level. For beginners, one HYROX session per week is often a good starting point. If you are preparing for a race, you can combine HYROX training with additional running, strength, and technique sessions.
Can your classes help me prepare for a HYROX race?
Yes. Our classes help you build the key physical foundations for HYROX: endurance, strength endurance, technique, and resilience under fatigue. Our monthly simulations are also a great way to experience race-like conditions.
